Travel Experiences: The Best of Life on the Road
Look, being away from home and family isn’t always easy—but being a road warrior definitely has its perks. Over the years, business travel has taken me to places I probably never would have visited otherwise—Russia, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, just to name a few. I’m now over 50 countries and counting, and I try to add a few more to the list every year. While a lot of my time on the road is spent in offices or on-site visits, I always make an effort to get out, see something, and experience a bit of the local culture.
My favorite way to do that? Food. Whether it’s a guided food tour, a local market, or just tracking down the best restaurant in town after a long day, I’m always looking for a good meal. When time allows, I’ll go out of my way for it. When it doesn’t, I’ll still do the research—because if I’m eating dinner somewhere, it might as well be worth it. Along the way, I’ll be sharing the occasional restaurant review, food experience, and travel activity to help you decide what’s actually worth your time.
And then there are the loyalty points. One of the biggest upsides of all this travel is being able to turn miles and points into memorable trips with my family. There are plenty of great travel blogs that go deep on maximizing points (many of which I read myself), so I won’t try to compete there—but I may share the occasional points redemption, travel tip, or great award booking when it feels worth passing along.
